Pelham - Mike Vickery leaves Pelham following a disappointing 1-9 season in 2024. His Panthers showed promise his first two seasons but struggled to win his last season with the Panthers. The coach came to Pelham after six years at Northridge where he was 24-38.

Region 5

Gardendale - Chad Eads departs Gardendale with a 50-33 record as the head football coach for the Rockets. His team won a region championship in 2021 before falling in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Every team qualified for the post season except his last even though they finished with a 5-5 record.

2025 Season - Eric Firestone served as the defensive coordinator at Gardendale the past seven seasons under Coach Eads and has been promoted to head football coach at the school.

Firestone is a Hokes Bluff native and Hokes Bluff High graduate. He went to North Texas State where he walked on for the football team.

Region 6

Shades Valley - Reuben Nelson leaves Shades Valley after four seasons and a record of 15-22. His Mounties did not reach the playoffs in any of those years falling just short in several seasons. Actually they finished fifth every year in region play. Coach Nelson never could find the winning formula he had at Ramsay where his team won a state championship in 2016 and won ten games five different years.

2025 Season - George Bates takes over the reins at Shades Valley for the 2025 football season. He comes over from Center Point where in seven seasons his teams finished with a record of 52-30 and reached the playoffs every season. Over the course of his 14 year career he has compiled a record of 91-60 at Parker, Minor and Woodlawn.

Region 7

Columbia - Sean Watson leaves Columbia with an 0-20 record. The schools has never been able to establish anything in the way of a successful football program having lost a state record 91 games in a row. The Eagles will be in search of their twelfth head coach since the school opened in 2006.
